Olympic Silver Stallion Eurocommerce London Seized |

|
Sad news out of London; The 10 year old Belgian
stallion named London, ridden by Gerco Schroeder in
the 2012 Olympics, and which took the silver in both
team and individual show jumping has been seized due
to bankruptcy proceedings by the owners. The horse,
along with other horses owned by the same company
was seized shortly after the conclusion of the
jumping competition. |

Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat claimed individual
jumping gold at the London 2012 Olympic venue at
Greenwich Park today when he was the only rider in
the final competition to maintain a completely clean
sheet in the two rounds. And in a thrilling two-way
third-round jump off, The Netherlands’ Gerco
Schroder pipped Ireland’s Cian O’Connor for silver. |

Karim El Zoghby riding Wervel Wind for Egypt
today in the second individual qualifier of the
jumping competition at the London 2012 Olympic
Games at Greenwich Park,
had one fence down, the oxer B of the triple
combination. Wervel had a
slight touch with his front legs and a one time
penalty added for exceeding the time, to finish
their London Olympics with 10 penalty points,
going home not only with a great achievement for
Karim's equestrian career, but also for the
whole Egyptian equestrian presence within the
Olympic scene. |
