Yehia Fahmy is the Winner of the ESM/Bridgestone Grand Prix

After two challenging rounds and a four-way jump off on Saturday evening, the winners at the SECOND ESM Grand Prix sponsored by "Bridgestone" were Yehia Fahmy and "Easy Jet" who cut the chronometer in 35.8 seconds, and just a second faster than his runner-up Karim El Sobky, followed by Abdel Rahman (Mano) Ragab and in fourth place the French rider Brendan Pennarun.

" I really had to go for it, and I had alot of pressure on me because Karim El Sobky is usually hard to beat, so I had to take every option to save myself time" says Yehia. "My horse jumped amazing in the 3 rounds, he's a real fighter."

" I would also like to thank ESM for the organization, my grooms & friends who supported me" continues Yehia.

The grand prix which started around four o'clock on Saturday had more than 50 horses in the starting list, by which the best 18 will qualify for the second round. The course was quiet tough built by Egyptian course designer Mr. Ashraf Abdallah.

Sponsored by Bridgestone, the total prize money for the grand prix was 21,000 L.E, by which 7,000 went for the winner Yehia Fahmy and his Easy Jet. Yehia will be wearing now the "ESM LEADING RIDER" ARM-BAND.

Prize Money presented by Bridgestone were as follows:

First: L.E 7,000 / Second: L.E 5,000 / Third: L.E 3,500 / Fourth: L.E 2,500 / Fifth: L.E 2,000 / Sixth: L.E 1,000
